1968 – Born in Gorky (now Nizhniy Novgorod)

1989 – Graduated with honours from Moscow State University’s Economics Department

1994 – Received a Ph.D. in Economics from Moscow State University

1999 – Received a Ph.D. in Economics from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations at the Russian Academy of Sciences

1991 – Adviser to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union’s academic journal, Communist

1991-1993 – Expert on economics for the parliamentary faction of the Svobodnaya Rossia party in the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation

1993 – Vice-President, 1995 – First Deputy Chairman of the Board,1999-2003 – Chairman of the Board of the Moscow-Paris Commercial Bank (Moscow); currently, member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Moscow-Paris Commercial Bank; member of the Board of Directors of OJSC LSR Group and OJSC VMK

1996-present – Founder, Research Advisor and currently Director of the Centre for Post-Industrial Studies (Moscow), an independent non-profit organization

1999 – Deputy Chief Editor,  2003-present – Editor-in-Chief of Svobodnaya Mysl (Free Thought) magazine, the successor to the Communist journal; currently, a columnist at the newspapers VedomostiIzvestia and MK, and a regular contributor to Ogonek; Presidium Member of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy and the Russian Council on International Affairs; member of the RIA Novosti Research Council and Valdai International Discussion Club

Vladislav Inozemtsev is the author of nearly 1150 works published in Russia, France, China, Great Britain and the United States, including 13 monographs, four of which have been translated into English, French, Japanese and Chinese.
